Classical music, pop, jazz, hip-hop, or rock; classical art collections; industrial design or street art; ballet, opera, or music clubs – FrankfurtRheinMain has a wide and varied art and cultural offering.
All major cities in the FrankfurtRheinMain region have at least one municipal theatre, a symphony orchestra and, in some cases, a ballet company. In addition to the major cultural institutions, there are also many smaller and larger stages, music clubs, bars and much more.
One stage that is particularly popular, even with international audiences, is the English Theatre Frankfurt. Here, plays of all kinds, from classics to comedies, thrillers and musicals, are presented at a high standard and in English. Many plays' castings take place in London.
There is also a wide range of museums in FRM, especially in Frankfurt am Main. There are over 60 museums and exhibition venues spread across the city. In fact, there are around 200 museums in the entire region.

The international theatre festival ‘Starke Stücke’ has been showing selected plays for children and young people since 1994. The festival brings artists from all over the world to the stages in FrankfurtRheinMain and accompanies the performances with workshops, discussions and a supporting programme.
The Rhine-Main Industrial Heritage Trail features around 1,000 special sites of industrial heritage – from port and industrial facilities to bridges, railway stations, sewage treatment plants and technology parks. The annual Rhine-Main Industrial Heritage Days bring these otherwise inaccessible sites to life.
The experience is not only exciting for adults. The Industrial Heritage Route Junior is specially designed for children and young people, who can discover architecture, craft techniques, production processes and upcycling in a playful way at these locations.
